CRUSHING & GRINDING
Jaw crushers VT.KS 500–1000
Primary and intermediate crushing of hard and medium-hard rock up to 200 MPa compressive strength. Six sizes from 500 to 1000 mm inlet, 75 to 220 kW, with adjustable outlet gap and interchangeable jaw profiles.

Ball, rod and tube mills
Rotating-drum mills with free grinding media for medium-hard and soft ores. Tube mills for continuous throughput, flow mills for high tonnage, and small cyclic mills for batch grinding below a few tonnes per hour.

Vibrating screens and classifiers
Circular-motion and linear-motion screens with polyurethane modular decks for wet and dry classification, plus a dedicated dewatering screen for fine material. Capacities from 200 to 1200 t/h.

Flotation machines IZ-5 to IZ-16
Multi-chamber mechanical flotation cells for fine ore slurry, 0 to 0.3 mm. Three sizes from 48 to 96 m³ total volume with rotor and scraper drives, compressed-air supply and IP54 electrics.

Thickeners, filter presses and dewatering
Equipment for recovering process water and producing dry, stackable tailings: lamellar thickeners with 650 to 5000 m³/h flow, an automatic chamber filter press, and a vibrating basket centrifuge for 0 to 20 mm material.

Belt conveyors VT 800–1400
Modular belt conveyors from 800 to 1400 mm belt width, engineered for compact installation and quick relocation. Four families from auxiliary conveyors at 500 t/h to main haulage lines at 2000 t/h, including a gearless electric-drum drive.

Rope winches for moving heavy equipment, positioning supports and pulling wagons in mines and on steep surface haul routes. Electric, hydraulic and pneumatic drives, pulling forces from 24 to 225 kN, rated for methane and dust hazard zones.

Hydraulic power units HAZV
Stationary hydraulic power packs to drive rock drills, roof bolters, hoists, injection pumps and other hydraulic tools. Ten standard sizes from 7.5 to 90 kW, gear or piston pumps, open or load-sensing circuits, explosion-protected versions for underground use.

Wet dust collector OMV-1000
Stationary wet scrubber that removes rock and coal dust from the air at crushers, transfer points, bins and processing plants. 630 m³/min nominal air flow and 96 to 98 percent dust removal.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a gold wash plant cost?
A [10 t/h] trommel wash plant with pump starts at around [USD 25,000] ex works Freetown. A [50 t/h] plant with jigs is in the range of [USD 90,000 to 150,000]. Final prices depend on material test and configuration.
Do you deliver outside Sierra Leone?
Yes. We deliver and commission in Liberia, Mali, DR Congo and Madagascar through our connected operations there, and to other African ports on request. Commissioning teams travel with the equipment.
Where does the heavy machinery come from?
Crushers, mills, screens, flotation cells, conveyors, winches, roadheaders and hydraulic units are manufactured in Poland by VACAT sp. z o.o.; hydraulic cylinders and powered supports by Hydromel sp. z o.o. Starlight Minerals represents both in its markets and handles specification, import, installation, commissioning, training and after-sales service.
Can you repair equipment from other manufacturers?
Yes. Our workshop repairs and rebuilds wash plants, trommels, crushers and pumps of any brand. See our services page.
What is the difference between a trommel and a sluice?
A trommel is a rotating screen that washes and sizes gravel, removing oversize rocks. The sluice, placed after the trommel, is where gold settles behind riffles. A wash plant combines both with a feed hopper and pump.
