EQUIPMENT & MANUFACTURING

Mining equipment: built in Freetown, engineered in Europe

Two sources, one supplier. Our Freetown workshop builds gold wash plants, trommels, jigs and sluices for alluvial projects. For hard-rock, underground and processing plants we supply industrial machinery as representative of VACAT sp. z o.o. and Hydromel sp. z o.o., Poland: crushers, mills, screens, flotation cells, conveyors, winches, roadheaders and hydraulics. Delivered, commissioned and serviced by us in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, DR Congo and Madagascar.

Why buy through Starlight

Sized for your ore

We test your material before we size the plant. Screen apertures, water flow, riffle design, crusher gap and mill charge match the deposit, not a catalogue.

Spare parts in Freetown

Every wear part is stocked or fabricated in our workshop. A broken screen is replaced in days, not shipped from overseas in months.

Delivered and commissioned

Transport to site, assembly, water setup and operator training are part of the price. You start producing, not assembling.

Service after delivery

Maintenance contracts, on-site repairs and upgrades from the same team that built the machine.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does a gold wash plant cost?

A [10 t/h] trommel wash plant with pump starts at around [USD 25,000] ex works Freetown. A [50 t/h] plant with jigs is in the range of [USD 90,000 to 150,000]. Final prices depend on material test and configuration.

Do you deliver outside Sierra Leone?

Yes. We deliver and commission in Liberia, Mali, DR Congo and Madagascar through our connected operations there, and to other African ports on request. Commissioning teams travel with the equipment.

Where does the heavy machinery come from?

Crushers, mills, screens, flotation cells, conveyors, winches, roadheaders and hydraulic units are manufactured in Poland by VACAT sp. z o.o.; hydraulic cylinders and powered supports by Hydromel sp. z o.o. Starlight Minerals represents both in its markets and handles specification, import, installation, commissioning, training and after-sales service.

Can you repair equipment from other manufacturers?

Yes. Our workshop repairs and rebuilds wash plants, trommels, crushers and pumps of any brand. See our services page.

What is the difference between a trommel and a sluice?

A trommel is a rotating screen that washes and sizes gravel, removing oversize rocks. The sluice, placed after the trommel, is where gold settles behind riffles. A wash plant combines both with a feed hopper and pump.
