FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is a gold doré bar?

Doré is semi-pure gold poured at the mine site, typically 70 to 95 percent gold with silver and traces of other metals. Refiners buy doré by assayed gold content and refine it to 999.9 fine gold.

What is a Kimberley Process certificate?

A government-issued certificate that confirms a rough diamond shipment is conflict-free and legally exported. Every rough diamond leaving Sierra Leone requires one, and importing countries reject parcels without it.

What are the minimum quantities?

Gold from [1 kg] doré per shipment, diamonds from [100 carats] per parcel. Larger volumes can be scheduled monthly under an off-take contract.

How is the price set?

Gold is priced on the LBMA fix on the day of assay minus an agreed discount. Rough diamonds are priced per parcel after independent valuation. All terms are fixed in writing before shipment.

Do you ask for advance payment?

Not for gold or diamond sales. Payment is made against assay results or through a letter of credit. We never ask for release fees, storage charges or payments to individuals. Deposits exist only for equipment orders and are set out in a signed contract. Check any request on our verification page.
